In August, 2009, PCB Piezotronics, Inc. acquired substantially all of the assets and intellectual property from RS Technologies Ltd, a leading supplier of load cells, torque transducers, wheel force transducers, and fastening/assembly test equipment to the Automotive, Aerospace, Power Tool, and Heavy Equipment industries.

PCB Piezotronics completed the acquisition through PCB Load & Torque, Inc., its wholly-owned subsidiary, which purchased the RS Technologies Ltd. assets and owns and operates the acquired business. PCB Load & Torque, Inc. operates out of the existing RS Technologies Ltd. world headquarters in Farmington Hills, Michigan, USA.

RS Technologies Ltd. dates back to the late 1960’s when the founder developed the first practical rotary socket wrench torque transducer and portable peak meter for dynamic testing and pneumatic nutrunners. Over the years, continuous research and development evolved into a line of load, torque, telemetry, and fastener torque-tension test products.

The combination of RS Technologies Ltd. products and PCB Piezotronics, Inc. load cells and torque transducers complement each other and has made PCB Load & Torque, Inc. a proven success and enabled PCB Piezotronics and its affiliated companies to better serve customers worldwide.

Located in Farmington Hills, Michigan, PCB’s Load & Torque Division, ISO 9001:2015 certified by DQS, Inc, designs and manufactures a full line of high quality precision load cells, torque transducers, and extensive line of RS branded fastener products including; rotary and stationary torque sensors, hand torque wrenches, measuring instruments and threaded fastener torque-tension testing systems. In addition to quality products, PCB’s Load & Torque division offers many services including: A2LA Accredited Calibration Services for torque, force, and related instrumentation; complete and reliable custom strain gaging and repair as well as technical training and seminars.
