The EX685A models function like traditional mechanical switches, offering easy installation and operation that requires no power component. But when it comes to performance, you can forget false trips and erratic sensitivities. With IMI Sensor's patented "Linear Adjust" design, the EX685A series is one of the most accurate and reliable mechanical switches on the market.

How it works:

The patented design (Patent #9,024,712) features a magnet and magnetic mass in a parallel orientation. As a result of this unique configuration, the magnetic force between the two components changes at a linear rate as the sensitivity adjustment knob is adjusted. This ensures a quick and accurate response to vibration irregularities, even in low-vibration applications. (Think <6000 RPMs.)

The EX685A features an explosion-proof, dust-tight aluminum enclosure and is:

• ATEX, IECEx and CSA Ex d approved for use in Class I, Zone 1; Class I, Div 2; and Class II, Div 1 areas with the presence of any combustible dusts and/or select combustible gases.
• IP66 ingress protection rated for exposure to any liquid, up to and including high pressure water jets from any direction.
