PCB Piezotronics Introduces ±5.0 Volt Series of In-line ICP® Charge Converters
March 31, 2014, Depew, N.Y. - PCB Piezotronics, a leader in vibration, pressure, force, load, torque, and acoustic sensors, is pleased to announce the availability of a new series of ±5.0 Volt output in-line ICP® charge converters. These units are well suited for use with high temperature piezoelectric sensors operating in environments up to 500°F (260°C). The 422E5x series features five gain options allowing greater compatibility with a wide range of sensors, and comes in a small, rugged package. These charge converters also offer a less expensive alternative when compared to laboratory charge amplifiers, which makes them attractive for multi-channel applications.
These units offer a simple way to convert high impedance charge output sensor signals to low impedance voltage signals. The 422E5x converters are placed between the sensor and any ICP® powered signal conditioner. They can also connect directly to a DAQ system or readout device if the system incorporates ICP® power. In both cases cost is minimized because the length of low noise cable is reduced and replaced by standard coaxial cable. The new 422E5x series also replaces the PCB legacy 422E0x and 422E1x series of in-line charge converters that have a smaller ±2.5 Volt output.
The new series is part of our Stock Product Program. All PCB® products are backed by our Total Customer Satisfaction guarantee. For more information please visit www.pcb.com/chargeconverter or contact Mike Lindstrom at 716-684-0001 or via email at mlindstrom@pcb.com.
