A wide variety of mounting studs and through bolts are available to facilitate sensor mounting. Using the appropriate stud or through bolt is critical to ensuring a stiff mounting methodology and therefore the higher possible frequency response. Most studs are made of stainless steel with a brass tip or beryllium copper and are used to mount top exit sensors. Through bolts are typically manufactured of stainless steel and are used to mount side exit and/or ring-style sensors.
