Die Verwendung eines geeigneten Bolzens oder einer Durchgangsschraube ist entscheidend für die Gewährleistung einer steifen Befestigungsmethode und damit eines möglichst hohen Frequenzgangs. Die meisten Bolzen sind aus rostfreiem Stahl mit einer Messingspitze oder aus Berylliumkupfer gefertigt und werden für die Montage von Top-Exit-Sensoren verwendet. Durchgangsschrauben sind in der Regel aus rostfreiem Stahl gefertigt und werden für die Montage von Seitenausgangs- und/oder Ringsensoren verwendet.
