Micro-Vibration Instrumentation for Satellite Testing
One of the major challenges of satellite imagery is interference from micro-vibrations, extremely small accelerations of very low intensity. PCB provides seismic accelerometers that can measure these micro-vibrations during testing and qualification. They can also be used for on orbit vibration analysis.
High sensitivity ICP® accelerometers are specifically designed to enable the detection of ultra-low-amplitude, low-frequency vibrations. These sensors possess exceptional measurement resolution as the result of their comparatively larger size, which furnishes a stronger output signal and a lower noise floor. Most units are hermetically sealed in a titanium or stainless steel housing. A lower cost unit for ground based testing is available in an epoxy sealed anodized aluminum housing, Model 356B18.
KEY FEATURES:
- Hermetic or low-outgassing options available
- Measure micro-g's
