PCB Regulatory Affairs & Compliance

PCB Piezotronics is committed to ensuring compliance with applicable global laws and regulations. To maintain effective compliance risk management strategies, and controls consistent with our deep compliance culture, PCB Piezotronics builds compliance accountability, oversight, and risk management into all levels of the business.

PCB Piezotronics regularly assesses the effectiveness of internal compliance controls, including policies, procedures, training, data analytics, and control validation. PCB Piezotronics' employees receive annual training on compliance risk areas specific to their work responsibilities. This includes training for a range of compliance topics (e.g., current laws applicable to our products, proper handling of proprietary or trade secret information, cyber security, anti-corruption, U.S. Government procurement integrity rules, and data privacy). Everyone has their role at PCB to ensure compliance. Compliance training is reviewed and updated regularly to ensure that it is current, relevant, and effective. PCB Piezotronics' products are developed with regulations in mind and the assumption that end-of-life products will be returned or recycled, therefore not entering into the normal waste streams.

PCB Piezotronics' goal is to create a proactive culture of compliance, this includes integrated compliance risk management, effective and efficient compliance controls, compliance risk mitigation, and accountability. The compliance team evaluates the company's most significant compliance risks, along with associated mitigation strategies, and then prioritizes the most important emerging issues for additional attention. Where appropriate the compliance team elevates issues to PCB Piezotronics' General Manager and to the Senior Leadership Team. PCB Piezotronics' program also partners with internal audits to validate the effectiveness of compliance controls.

CE

As part of our commitment to supply environmentally-safe products throughout the world, PCB Piezotronics, Inc. supports the aims of the European Union's Conformité Européenne. CE certification is an EU safety directive that indicates that a product has passed certain tests. It means that a product can legally be sold anywhere within the EU and the European Economic Area (EEA). We offer a variety of products that have CE compliance. The CE marking is also found on products sold outside the EEA that are manufactured in, or designed to be sold in, the EEA. This makes the CE marking recognizable worldwide even to people who are not familiar with the European Economic Area. Please see the Product Specification Sheet or additional documents to confirm if the product you are interested in is CSA/ETL marked.

The CE marking is the manufacturer's declaration that the product meets the requirements of the applicable EC directives. PCB Piezotronics products may declare Low voltage Directive, Radio Equipment Directive, ATEX, EMC, or RoHS to create CE compliance. RoHS is required on all PCB Piezotronics products that enter the European Economic Area, in accordance with European Community Regulation Directive 2011/65/EU as amended by Directive 2015/863 regarding the restriction of use of certain hazardous substances in electrical and electronic equipment (ROHS). Please see the Product Specification Sheet to confirm your model's product family is in compliance with the CE which includes any applicable directives.
