IMI Sensors Launches New IO-Link Piezoelectric Accelerometer, Model 674A91

Ideal for Industrial Vibration Monitoring

April 11, 2024 DEPEW, NY - IMI Sensors, manufacturer of industrial vibration monitoring instrumentation, announced the release of Model 674A91, a fully programmable accelerometer featuring IO-Link universal protocol. Designed with piezoelectric technology for the most precise and comprehensive machine health data, this state-of-the-art sensor redefines the possibilities of industrial monitoring and control.

Model 674A91 is intended to be stud mounted to an industrial asset with the 4-pin M12 connector directly cabled (point to point) to an IO-Link Master. An IO-Link Master is a multichannel device that provides 24 VDC, controls the communication of the sensor, and provides information direct to the factory network. IO-Link compatibility offers:

  • Easy communication with your current control system via EtherNet/IP™, Profinet™, Modbus™, OPC UA™, or MQTT™ and others.
  • Measurements and averages at user-specified intervals
  • Full spectrum data processing to trend for condition monitoring
  • Maintenance alerts when peak values or sensor specifications are exceeded
Model 674A91

With a frequency range up to a full 10kHz, Model 674A91 offers much more effective fault detection than most comparable MEMS based devices on the market today. The 50g peak accelerometer boasts an impressive array of features for insight into equipment health, with functions including true peak acceleration, RMS acceleration, RMS velocity, crest factor and temperature output.
