PCB Piezotronics Launches Patented Linear-Adjust Mechanical Switch with Intrinsically Safe Enclosure

December 4, 2023, Depew, NY - PCB Piezotronics, Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of Amphenol Corporation (NYSE: APH), announced the release of the EX685A series, a family of intrinsically safe mechanical switches with patented linear-adjust technology for reliable performance even at low vibration levels. Its IP66 ingress protection rating guarantees a dust‐tight enclosure and protection against water ingression when exposed to any liquid, up to and including high pressure water jets from any direction.
The product features:
- Measurement range of 0‐7g pk
- Frequency range of 0‐100 Hz (0‐6000 cpm)
- Operating temperature of -4 to +140 °F
- Choice of manual plunger‐style reset button or remote reset coil
- Approval for use in hazardous areas*
