PCB Piezotronics Inc., an MTS Systems Corporation, updated ISO 9001 and AS9100 certifications

February 1, 2018 Depew, NY – PCB’s Depew, NY and Halifax, NC manufacturing facilities have updated ISO 9001 and AS9100 certifications to ISO 9001:2015 certified by DQS, Inc. and AS9100:D certified by DQS, Inc. standards, respectively. This demonstrates the commitment PCB® has to delivering the highest standards of quality and manufacturing excellence. ISO 9001 is the international standard that specifies requirements for a quality management system. AS9100 takes the ISO 9001 requirements and supplements them with additional quality system requirements established by the aerospace industry in order to satisfy DOD, NASA and FAA quality requirements. The intent of the standard is to establish a single quality management system for use within the aerospace industry.

Periodic changes to ISO 9001 and AS 9100 standards provide a critical opportunity to reexamine a quality management system and raise total quality to the next level. Knowing how quality standards differ and change with each update is key to optimizing processes, people, and technology in manufacturing. This recent recertification complements PCB’s existing ISO/IEC 17025 standards and reinforces the continued commitment to quality and Total Customer Satisfaction.
