PCB Piezotronics Launches a Very High Temperature Charge Accelerometer with UHT-12™ Element
Designed for Auto, Energy and Aerospace & Defense High Temperature Environments
November 20, 2017 DEPEW, NY – PCB Piezotronics, manufacturer of vibration
and pressure monitoring instrumentation, announced the release of Model 357A63, a very high temperature (900 °F), charge output accelerometer with a UHT-12™ sensing element. This product, which features a miniature size, caseisolated housing, was developed for use in aviation/power generation, turbine research & development and automotive powertrain NVH applications.
The new UHT-12™ crystal technology features:
- Absence of pyroelectric noise spikes.
- Sensitivity that remains more consistent over a wide temperature change.
- Shear mode crystals isolated from base strain & transverse measurement errors.
- Proprietary crystal technology comes sealed in a hermetic package and has proven reliable performance in hundreds
of installations.
PCB Piezotronics offers various charge amplifiers to support the launch of this new accelerometer, including Models 422E35 and 422E36. For all technical inquiries and application support, please contact Meredith Christman at mchristman@pcb.com or 716-684-0003 x2071.
